Who I Help
I'm a LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist who loves working with kids, adolescents, and adults. I want to work with YOU to encourage growth and healing within yourself. Beyond individual and family therapy, I enjoy consulting and educating other providers about topics I'm passionate about including the neurodiverse community and advocacy within the counseling field.

My lived experiences as a queer, neurodivergent person have greatly shaped my framework as a therapist. I hope to be the person that was missing in my life during difficult times to others. If that means I could be the right therapist for you, please make an appointment--it would be great to meet you and see if this is the right time/setting for you.

LGBTQIA+ Community
As a queer person, I understand how hard it can be to find the kind of support and advocacy you need in a therapist.
Regrettably, I have been on the other side of the therapist/client relationship with someone clearly uncomfortable discussing the stress of coming out and the experience of being queer amongst family, friends, and colleagues. I don't want that to be your experience. You deserve to be comfortable sharing your experiences with me in a candid, safe environment.
I have been working with LGBTQIA+ identified individuals throughout my career and continue to educate myself on this topic when working with adults and children. (#transkidsbelong)

Children & Adolescents
I work with kids, tweens, teens, and young adults. Being a young person today is hard and it is tough to navigate the changes and obstacles that come with it. Bullying, stress, and social pressure are part of the experience, but there are also successes and joys that come with growing up that should be celebrated.
I will work with you and your family to address goals and find ways to make things feel less complex for everyone. I utilize a variety of evidenced-based approaches to find what works best for you and try to be as collaborative as possible. I earned a specialized certificate for Child and Family Therapy along with my Master's degree from Acadia University in 2016 and have been working with young people ever since.

Neurodivergent Community
We live in a world that caters to the neurotypical person, often at the expense of those that don't fit under that umbrella. Regardless of if you have ever been given a formal diagnosis or not, I want you to feel free to genuinely express feelings and needs related to this identity in my office. I have worked with adults and teens who identify as neurodivergent for over a decade. While I feel the world needs to make some changes to be more considerate to our community, I'm also happy to help you develop coping strategies, relaxation skills, and sensory techniques in order to navigate your life a little easier.

What Can You Expect?

I don't shy away from difficult discussions or topics. Whether you are 15 or 50, I'm going to be my honest and genuine self. I hope that helps you be your genuine self as well.
